We cannot believe how fast 5 months has gone by! To sum it up; bliss and sheer joy come to mind! We could not be happier! And I think Jonah agrees. This picture was taken at Aunt Laura and Uncle Cory's over Thanksgiving. He had such a great time with them!
Stay warm and cuddly-wherever you are! Wishing you all a wonderful and safe holiday season! We look forward to spending time with all of you in 2009!
Our very best,
The Allen Clan
It is such a joy getting to know your friends children. Addison is such an amazing little boy and we are so glad that Jonah already has friends that love and support him! The sweetest thing was that Addison asked if he could hold Jonah. He was so gentle with him-touching him softly and talking to him in low tones.
Today and always we feel blessed for the wonderful friends and family in our lives! May our blessings be passed on ten-fold.
Do not kiss your children so they will kiss you back, but so they will kiss their children, and their children's children.
(I came across this beautiful and heartfelt quote, of all places on a sugar packet at a local bakery in Kihei).

We are settling back in after being gone for Thanksgiving, and then turning back around to head to Maui for a week! We had a wonderful thanksgiving holiday with Jonah's Aunt Laura and Uncle Cory. We are really looking forward to going back to visit them in Medford. The only disappointment was how the civil war game turned out for the Beavers! Better luck next year!
The flight to Maui felt like forever-but Jonah was a trooper going and coming back. We were blessed going and coming with an infant block that gave us a whole empty seat between us, so the little guy could wiggle and attempt to roll over! Speaking of, Jonah is fully rolling over on his own these days, and while in Maui he discovered he could roll his tongue, which was awfully cute to see! We both remarked that Jonah matured a lot over the trip. Enjoying more time by himself-being more independent and interested in his toys, himself, and the world around him.
We spent the week sightseeing; went to Haleakala, the Makena State Park (got to see "magma" austin powers style), the maui ocean center to see amazing sea life, a day in lahaina for the tourist stuff, and spent the rest of the time walking on the beach and swimming in the pool. James and I even made it out a few times on our own, because my parents met up with us at the second half of our trip! I do not have much of a tan to speak of, but James looks awesome! The man tans the moment we walk into the sun. Lucky duck!
When I get a chance I will post all of our pictures to share! I am telling you-we should get a big group together to go in the future. My friend, Becky connected us with a site called VRBO.com and we got a great deal on a condo rental.
Love to you all! Stay warm or cool wherever you are!
